A much healthier alternative for rawhides since this recipe doesn’t include any preservatives. It doesn’t include grains either, which can be harmful to some dogs. The recipe is painfully simple and will produce around 10 to 20 strips of chicken jerky.

  • 2 to 4 chicken breasts without the skin.
  • Preheat your oven to about 200 degrees.
  • Prepare the chicken breasts by removing any excess fat on them.
  • Slice the breasts into 1/8 inch strips with a knife.
  • Prepare a baking tray with baking sheets and place the strips on it.
  • Bake them for around 2 hours.
  • Remove the dried and hardened chicken, let it cool and then serve it to your pooch. These strips can easily be stored for up to 2 weeks.
